The undefeated Michigan Wolverines stayed at No. 2 while the Michigan State Spartans moved up to No. 6 this week's AP Top 25 poll.

The Wolverines (15-0) did receive nine first place votes, which weren't enough to put them ahead of No. 1 Duke, which received 37 first place votes.

Michigan kicked off the Big Ten season on Thursday by beating Penn State 68-55 and beat No. 21 indiana on Sunday, 74-63. They'll face Illinois on Thursday on the road and Northwestern on Sunday at Crisler Arena.

The Spartans (13-2) took down Northwestern 8-55 on Wednesday and No. 14 Ohio State, in Columbus, 86-77 on Saturday. They'll face Purdue on Tuesday and Penn State on Sunday this week.

Between Michigan and Michigan State is Tennessee at No. 3, Virginia and No. 4 and Gonzaga at No. 5.
