(WXYZ) -- Michigan State forward Aaron Henry was named to the Preseason All-Big Ten First Team, the conference announced Monday.

Henry appeared in 30 games (making 29 starts) for the Spartans during the 2019-20 season. He averaged 10 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.

The All-Big Ten team was voted on by a panel of conference media members, who selected Iowa center Luka Garza as Preseason Player of the Year. Garza is the second consecutive player to be named Preseason Player of the Year following Postseason Player of the Year honors the prior season. Michigan State's Cassius Winston accomplished the feat a year ago.
