The Detroit Red Wings announced they have recalled forward Drew Miller and goaltender Jared Coreau from the Grand Rapids Griffins.

This comes as the team prepares for a west coast road trip that begins Tuesday in Vancouver.

Miller, 33, appeared in seven games for the Griffins after being placed on waivers in January. He had two goals and one assists in the seven games. He has also appeared in 35 games for the Red Wings, scoring five goals.

Coreau was sent to Grand Rapids to play while the Red Wings went on a mandatory five-day break. Because Jimmy Howard is not active, it appears Coreau will back up Petr Mrazek as he has for most of February.

In 13 games this season with Detroit, Coreau has a 5-3-3 record, a 3.27 goals against average and a .893 save percentage.
