The Detroit Lions don't have an easy schedule in the 2019-20 season, but a new simulation from ESPN predicts the team will get off to a terrible start.
ESPN said that they took one of the 20,000 season-long simulations they run every year, and played it out with an entire slate of final scores for every game in the NFL this season.
For the Lions, it predicts that they'll lose the first 11 games of the season and finish with a 4-12 record.
Week 1 – Arizona 36, Detroit 10
Week 2 – Los Angeles Chargers 31, Detroit 27
Week 3 – Philadelphia 26, Detroit 16
Week 4 – Kansas City 22, Detroit 17
Week 5 – bye
Week 6 – Green Bay 34, Detroit 7
Week 7 – Minnesota 20, Detroit 17
Week 8 – New York Giants 16, Detroit 15
Week 9 – Oakland 14, Detroit 9
Week 10 – Chicago 24, Detroit 21
Week 11 – Dallas 35, Detroit 10
Week 12 – Washington 36, Detroit 10
Week 13 – Detroit 27, Chicago 13

Week 15 – Detroit 38, Tampa Bay 24
Week 16 – Detroit 27, Denver 22
Week 17 – Green Bay 35, Detroit 34
Other predictions include the Lions firing Matt Patricia after week 11 and starting the season 0-10. That part is more ESPN putting the "creative license into the details," then the actual simulation.
