Derrick Rose isn't the same player who called the Pistons a division rival for seven years in Chicago.
He knows it. We know it. The Pistons know it.
“I got all the accolades in the past and now I want to win. That’s the only thing missing from my resume: a championship," Rose said.
"Being here, and seeing what happened last year with the Raptors and coming to the East, you never know what can happen.”
The veteran guard spoke extensively about his decision to join the team, and his career evolution was on full display.
Rose said he wants the championship that's eluded him throughout his career. The 31-year old experienced a career resurgence with the Timberwolves last season, but will be a backup to Reggie Jackson in Detroit.
Derrick Rose joined the Pistons and the East because he said he watched the Raptors surprise everyone last year.
