Mark Dantonio admits it didn't take long for him to realize he could have success as the head coach at Michigan State University.

After establishing a culture in 2007, we was winning championships by 2010, and the rest is history.

On Saturday, as the Arizona State Sun Devils come to East Lansing, Dantonio could cross another barrier, all-time winningest coach in school history.

He would pass Duffy Daugherty with 110 career victories, and instead of reflecting on his own wins, he chose to remember the man he's about to pass.

"It's sort of a milestone but it really allows me to reflect back on history, on the history of college football and what Duffy meant to that," Dantonio said.

Dantonio went on to call Daugherty 'ahead of his time' especially when it came to recruiting and breaking down the color barrier in college football.

Elijah Collins will get a chance to show that last weeks rushing burst wasn't a flash in the pan, Dantonio made his the starter on Tuesday.

The Spartans and the Sun Devils kick things off at 4 P.M. at Spartan Stadium on Saturday.
