ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WXYZ) -- Jim Harbaugh debuted a new pair of glasses this week, and the design featured a bit of a familiar look.

"This style in particular is a tip of the cap, a nod to Woody Hayes," Harbaugh told reporters Saturday after Michigan's win over Illinois.

Hayes, the longtime head coach at Ohio State, is best remembered by Michigan fans for being Bo Schembechler's adversary in the legendary rivalry between the two schools.

Harbaugh said Hayes wasn't his only inspiration for the design selection though.

"Michael Douglas, in the movie 'Falling Down,' also a tip of the cap to Malcolm X."

Harbaugh explained that he would need to "go glasses full-time" as a result of doctors' orders.
