The annual battle for the Paul Bunyan Trophy will be played under the lights this year. Michigan State and Michigan announced on their official football Twitter pages that the October 7 game will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. at Michigan Stadium. ABC will air the game.
Michigan is currently 4-0 and ranked #8 in the AP poll after beating Purdue 28-10. Michigan State is 2-1 and unranked after Saturday's 38-18 loss to Notre Dame. Michigan leads the all-time series 69-35-5 but Michigan State has won 7 of the last 9 meetings. Michigan snapped a three-year Spartan winning streak by beating MSU 32-23 in Spartan Stadium last October.
