Emoni Bates will eventually sit at a table with a few different colleges hats in front of them.

Eventually he'll have conversations with the likes of Tom Izzo, John Beilein, Mike Krzyzewski and other top college coaches hoping he will choose them.

Right now though, the 14-year-old chose family to help him develop as the top prospect of the 2022 class.

His head coach at Ypsilanti Lincoln, has known him since the day he was born.

"I sat there and watched him make 22 3-pointers in a row, in a row, and that was in the third grade," Railsplitters head coach Jesse Davis said.

Bates has played just two high school games thus far, but says he'll take things one day at a time, eventually hoping he makes the NBA.
