I am Samantha Kobe and I have been FOX 47’s Digital Sales Strategist (aka The Nerd) since February 2018. My background includes experience in a wide range of media/marketing formats including; Signage, Trade Shows, OOH/Billboards, TV, Radio, Graphic Design, Photography, and Web Design. However, Digital Marketing was my calling. With Digital platforms’ algorithms changing with the wind, I am constantly faced with new challenges and I love it! As FOX 47’s DSS, I am able to strategize elaborate multi-platform marketing campaigns for all breeds of businesses. I now understand why data is referred to as being "sexy". Through understanding data I am able to determine what exactly makes a business click, and create campaigns geared towards my customer's customer. In short, I am a passionate nerd.
If you see my in the office, I will most likely be rocking my rainbow sequin slippers while digging through Amy’s candy bucket or nerding out in my office while listening to podcasts. Out of the office you may catch me at Esquire for Wednesday night Karaoke or at the Lansing Lugnuts for $2 beer night. I survive on pizza, Netflix, craft beer, internet memes, and alternative rock. Most importantly, I love being a part of the FOX 47 Team!

What do you love most about your work?
In elementary school, my answer to the infamous “what do you want to be when you grow up?” question was always “I want to be an entrepreneur”. I hadn’t a clue specifically what kind of business I wanted to own, but I knew that’s what I wanted to do. Even though I haven’t fulfilled my childhood dream, my role at FOX 47 allows me the opportunity to work with and help individuals who had the same vision as me! Being able to help grow our clients’ businesses is just as rewarding as owning my own business. I take SO much pride in seeing the success our digital products bring to our advertising partners. In short... I fricken LOVE my job!

What motivates you?
My overwhelming need to care and provide for; my family, Joshua (my loving man), Duncan (crazy dog), Camron (lazy dog), Luna (sassy cat), North (accident prone horse), and my friends. Being held as the Digital Marketing Expert at FOX 47 means I must always be on my A game when it comes to the ever changing digital atmosphere, and push myself to know the ins and outs of our products. I am constantly faced with new challenges in my role, but nothing beats the accomplished feeling I get when our clients goals are achieved through the Digital Strategies I put in place.
