Business owners are realizing that reopening once stay-at-home orders involves more than just opening the doors. A Get Back To Work Safely Guide is available from the Small Business Association of Michigan.

The guide starts with a general review of what businesses need to think about first, but it also includes more detailed sections on personal protective equipment, facility cleaning, employee involvement and training, a checklist, and a health screening guide.

The association’s Tips and Resources page is also a thorough information source that goes beyond the guide itself to include discussions on introducing cashless payment transactions and developing ways to maintain social distancing in lines and public spaces.

“We want to make this transition as simple as possible,” said SBAM president Brian Calley in a release. “Getting back to work will require changes for small businesses that could be overwhelming.”
