Just when you thought you’d seen everything pumpkin spice, Baileys reminded us that their pumpkin spice Irish cream is here for a limited time to help us all relax this fall.
The company describes the flavor as “sweet cinnamon and baking spices, luscious maple, brown sugar and baked pie crust with additional hints of vanilla and coffee.”
In particular, this beverage may be the perfect liqueur for spiking your hot chocolate or coffee when you return from your fall foliage adventures to see this autumn’s best colors. Baileys posted their recipe for a spiked pumpkin spice latte on Instagram, and wow:
Yum!
Baileys has a bunch of pumpkin spice recipes on its website to help us figure out even more seriously tasty drinks. And you’ll want to get the blender out — the Baileys pumpkin spice milkshake sounds amazing. It has the pumpkin spice liqueur along with chocolate ice cream, whole milk, brown sugar, pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice blend. (This is one you might want to skip putting in your food tracker app to see the calorie count!)
It’s not the first time Baileys has made the pumpkin spice drink available — it has been on store shelves in autumn for the past few years. You can pick up Baileys pumpkin spice at most local liquor stores until November, so stock up if you want to have the flavor on your bar cart through the winter.
Kahlúa is another brand offering pumpkin spice liqueur to give your coffee a fall kick. Like Baileys, the product is seasonal.
And while the Hiram Walker brand also offers a pumpkin spice liqueur, it has another interesting fall flavor — caramel apple. So perfect for this time of year! The company suggests making a golden delicious cocktail, which is made with the Hiram Walker caramel apple liqueur, Absolut citron and sour mix and served in a martini glass.
Now that’s a recipe to request at your favorite local watering hole. Bottoms up!
