On Saturday, April 9, the Old Town Commercial Association (OTCA) will be hosting the 9th annual Taste & Tour of Old Town from noon until 5 p.m.
The Taste & Tour of Old Town gives participants the opportunity to sample delicious foods from participating Old
Town restaurants and food retailers. Participating businesses include: Arctic Corner, Bloom Coffee, Cravings Gourmet Popcorn, the Creole, The Cosmos/Zoobie’s Old Town Tavern, Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan, JN Press, Old Town General Store, Olympic Broil, Pablo’s Panaderia, Scoop’s Ice Cream and Sir Pizza/Grand Café.
In addition to the food, the Taste & Tour of Old Town will include real estate tours. Participants will be given the chance to tour lofts— both available and occupied, available commercial spaces, and even some of the local businesses. This is a unique opportunity to not only see some of the spaces that aren’t generally open to the public, but to see what it is like to live and work in Old Town. The Michigan Historic Preservation Network will also be providing a historical walking tour of Old Town.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $20 for adults or $10 for children, online or at the OTCA office. Tour only tickets are available for $10. Tickets can be purchased on the day of the event at the OTCA office. Prices for day of tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for children and $15 for loft only tours
The Taste & Tour of Old Town is a fundraising event, which allows the OTCA to continue its mission of revitalization Old Town. It also provides participants an opportunity to explore everything Old Town has to offer. These real estate opportunities and successful businesses help to contribute to Old Town’s growth and development.
