High School Seniors who are in good standing and desire to attend prom but have limited means to purchase prom attire---the Lansing Glam Squad wants to hear from you! One young lady and five gentlemen will be the recipients of our 1st annual "Prom Make Over & Operation Prom" give-away.
Lansing Glam Squad started with three local business owners; Weave & Lash Bar, Make Up by Lorin and model Mila Lynn who believe it's our responsibility to continue to give back to our community. We will use our experience and resources in the beauty industry to do something extraordinary for Six (6) Greater Lansing High School Seniors who are wanting to attend their Prom and may not have the financial resources to purchase prom attire and accessories. "We make a Living by What We Get, but We make a Life by What We Give" is a quote by Winston Churchill, that best represents the mission and passion of Lansing's Glam Squad. Additionally, we have secured additional sponsors to include: Pierre's Bridal, Prom & Tuxedo, Weddings By Nicole. Mo Cuts Barbershop, Dr. Roderick Stepter, DDS., Additional sponsors are both desired and welcomed!
To apply, applicants must submit the following: 1) a short essay briefly telling us about them and why they deserve to be awarded for the Prom Make Over or Operation Prom. 2) 2 brief letters of recommendations (from non-family members) 3) A short 1-2 minute video supporting your essay ( this is optional) Send entries before March 4th to: lansingglamsquad@gmail.com.
