Stuff the Bus is an annual Lansing Jaycees event that provides local shoppers with the opportunity to help stuff a CATA bus with clothes, winter gear, household necessities and toys to benefit local children and their families through the Volunteers of America “Adopt-A-Family” program.

Lansing Jaycees members will collect, organize, wrap and deliver Stuff the Bus donations to the families in time for Christmas. In addition to gifts, each family receives a grocery store gift card for a holiday meal.

“This year we are helping five Lansing families, a total of 23 children and parents, have a merrier Christmas,” said Jessi Wortley Adler, event chair. “Helping stuff the bus is a great way to get in the holiday spirit and we encourage the community to come out and support this great event. It means the world to these families to receive gifts and basic household items they might not get otherwise.”
