A Destination Imagination team from the Holt school district has raised enough money, over $3,450 to buy a semi-truck and a half loaded with bottled water for Flint residents, 54,000 bottles to be exact.

The team worked with many community partners including: UFCW 951, Meijer, Boy Scout Troop 43, The First Presbyterian Church of Dimondale, the Holt School District and ASAP Printing.

The team consists of seven students in fourth and fifth grade from Dimondale Elementary and Washington Woods Middle School (Holt School District). They sold 1,500 rubber ducks and gathered donations through a GoFundMe account. After their last duck sale at Sycamore Elementary School in Holt on Wednesday, March 9th, the team will go to the Meijer Warehouse in Lansing to see the result of their hard work.
