Supporting the efforts of local businesses to ensure employee and customer privacy, Friedland Industries will host its annual Document Destruction Day on the Saturday after Tax Day each year. This year, Tax Day is Monday, April 18th due to a holiday on the 15th. However, Friedland decided to keep the event on the first Saturday after the 15th, which is April 16th.
The event will take place on the Saturday leading into Earth Week. Friedland encourages residents and businesses from throughout Greater Lansing to bring old tax and other sensitive documents for confidential shredding at no charge.
Friedland offers services year-round.
On Document Destruction Day, it’s free.
In celebration of Earth Week, folks also have the opportunity to watch the shredding of their sensitive documents as they are processed for recycling into new paper.
