After over 15 years of using a prototype exhibit, Impression 5 Science Center, with generous and enthusiastic support from TechSmith (the makers of Snagit and Camtasia), has fabricated an entirely new and improved Throwing Things exhibit! Join us to celebrate this new community asset as member families experience the complete exhibit for the first time.
WHO: Impression 5 Science Center members and TechSmith employees and families
WHAT: Throwing Things Exhibit “First Pitch” and Unveil
WHEN: Friday, May 6 (6:00 – 8:00 p.m.)
WHERE: Impression 5 Science Center (200 Museum Drive, Downtown Lansing)
With a joint passion for introducing STEM and STEAM concepts to young children and families, Impression 5 Science Center and TechSmith are excited to present Throwing Things to the community.
Inspired by TechSmith’s Coach’s Eye instant video analysis technology, the exhibit demonstrates an exciting and meaningful connection to potential and kinetic energy through interactive components that allow you to hurl, project, throw, and explode!
Designed, prototyped, fabricated, and installed entirely at the Science Center, Throwing Things represents local talent and ingenuity, a legacy of partnership, and the importance of early exposure to science discovery and inspiration.
