Award-winning actor, writer, and director Michael McCallum will premiere his latest independent film "Two for the Show," on Saturday, March 6th. The evening will take place at Tavern and Tap located at 101 South Washington Square, Lansing, Michigan 48933 at 6 p.m.
"Two for the Show" tells the dark story of a one-night-stand gone wrong. The main character Bryan, played by McCallum, returns to his hometown to say goodbye to his dying father. Since he is in town, Bryan attends his high school reunion where he meets Jessica, a woman abused by her husband. Bryan and Jessica have a fatal attraction and begin to face problems in this dramatic story.
Admission is $10 at the door and the money collected will help the film be distributed to film festivals. Local bands Big Sur and Dutch Pink will perform live music before the film. Food and drink specials will be available to the audience and there will be a live Q and A from the cast after the 40 minute show.
This is the latest film from Rebel Pictures, a mid-Michigan film company owned by McCallum. Previous films from Rebel Pictures include Fairview St., Handlebar, Lucky, and Waiter From Hell. Rebel Pictures films have won nine awards and 18 film nominations from film festivals.
