After going to Grand Rapids for a concert, Nina Battle, 32, returned to her Ypsilanti Township apartment. But about 12 hours after her last video post on Facebook about the concert, she was dead.
Someone killed Battle with a single gunshot wound.
A Neighbor called 911 at 4:01 p.m. on Saturday after hearing the shot.
With the help of a neighbor, deputies with the Washtenaw County Sheriff were able to determine which apartment the sound came from and when they entered, they found Battle's body.
Investigators say there were no signs of forced entry on the door to the apartment building or the door to Battle's unit at the Fairway Trails apartments on South Hewitt near Congress.
