Less than a year after Meijer began delivering groceries straight to your home, the Michigan-based grocer is now delivering alcohol to your home as part of their partnership with Shipt.

According to Meijer, beginning July 11, Shipt members can add beer, wine and spirits to their order and have it delivered straight to your house.

“We’ve received an incredible amount of feedback from customers wanting to take advantage of our large selection of craft beers and wine,” Vice President of Digital Shopping for Meijer Art Sebastian said in a release. “We think this enhances the level of convenience our home delivery customers in Michigan can enjoy and allows them to take more advantage of what our stores have to offer.”

According to the company, you have to provide valid ID to place an order with alcohol, and the person receiving the order must also be 21 or older with proper identification.

Last month, Meijer expanded its home delivery service to Ann Arbor and 500,000 houses in Allen Park, Belleville, Brighton, Flat Rock, Hartland, Howell, Lincoln Park, Monroe, Oxford, Southgate, Taylor and Woodhaven.

In all, they offer home delivery to more than 2 million homes in Michigan.

Meijer customers can sign up for Shipt memberships for $99 per year. For a limited-time, new members will also receive $25 off their first order. Delivery is free for orders over $35; a flat $7 delivery fee is added to any orders under $35.
