"She knew she needed to get us to a hospital," says Kim Rundel about her friend who could tell that something was wrong with her and another friend after they accepted drinks from strangers Friday night.
Chesterfield Township police are now investigating the possibility that someone drugged two of the friends.
Rundel and one of her friends, Whitney Gosik, each accepted a beer from the three women they met in a local bar as a friendly gesture for having saved the area where the trio had been standing before going to get some drinks at the bar.
Jamie Gingas, who was with Rundel and Gosik, was the designated driver for her two friends that night.
It was Gingas who realized something was wrong when, about twenty minutes after drinking some of the beer, Rundel and Gosik appeared to be sick and very intoxicated.
One of the mystery women who had given the two friends the drinks was then trying to get Gosik to go with them.
The women have reported their close call to Chesterfield Township police, and they're now hoping the lesson they learned is a warning to others to not accept drinks given from strangers.
