LANSING, Mich. — Young Bros. & Daley has been watching over Michigan Avenue in downtown Lansing since it was built in 1893.
Serving as CEO since 2012, Lori Battley-Williams says she owes much of her business’s success to her loyal customers—she has a lot of gratitude toward the community for supporting Young Bros. & Daley for 126 years.
Lori started working at Young Bros. & Daley in January 2003, learning everything she could about the business from the bottom up. She drove forklifts, worked in the warehouse, on product lines, in purchasing, in accounting, etc.
Lori says that in this ever-changing world, she continues to learn and grow within her business, even after 16 years.
Before her start at Young Bros. & Daley, Lori worked with people with disabilities for a private non-profit facility in Brighton.
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in counseling from Eastern Michigan University.
