A woman who may have been suffering from a medical issue, attempted to open a boarding door shortly after takeoff on a Delta flight Monday, a spokeswoman with Wayne County Airport Authority said.
The flight was from Indianapolis to Detroit. Erica Donerson, with the Wayne County Airport Authority, said that passengers restrained the woman until the aircraft landed at Detroit Metropolitan Airport at 6:45 p.m.
The woman was then taken into custody by officers. Donerson said the preliminary investigation suggests that the woman may have been suffering from a medical issue, and that she did not have any criminal intent.
An FBI spokesperson has confirmed there will be no federal charges.
