A Harper Woods woman is facing several charges, including assault and battery, after police say she lost her cool inside a Livonia Burger King.

It happened back on Jan. 27. Police say Porsha Tyler walked into the fast food restaurant and demanded to get her money back. She claimed the burger she bought the day before had tomatoes on it and she didn't order it that way. She also claimed she had the burger with her.

"The clerk was more than kind to her and offered her a refund of food," says Captain Ron Taig with Livonia police. "Porsha wasn't having that. She obviously didn't get it her way that day and she went on a tirade,"

Investigators say the clerk kindly offered her other food or even a food credit, but Tyler wanted her cash back.

When she didn't get it, police say she tried repeatedly to climb on to the counter, but her fiance held her back. They say she then hurled a cookie rack at the clerk.

When the clerk said they were calling the cops, police say Tyler then threw a wet floor sign at the clerk and even threw food in her face before leaving.

"We want people to know this isn't acceptable behavior," Says Capt. Ron Taig. "Whether it's a restaurant or road rage, incidents like this can spill into so much more."

When police caught up with Tyler, they say she lied about her name. She has now been charged with obstruction, malicious damage to property, disorderly conduct and assault and battery.

However, that wasn't the only time Tyler was accused of losing her cool. Action News has learned that less than two weeks after the Burger King incident, the 34-year-old woman was arrested in Warren. Police say she got angry in a Cricket Wireless store because a particular cell phone didn't come with a new contract.

Police say she messed up the phone displays, yelled and even stole a phone from the store.

She was charged with larceny and disturbing the peace in that case.
