Less than one month after Richard 'White Boy Rick' Wershe was released from a Michigan prison, he is now being housed at a Florida prison on previous racketeering charges.
Wershe was released from prison in Michigan on Aug. 22 after being unanimously granted parole. He had spent nearly 30 years in prison as Michigan's longest-serving non-violent criminal.
He is being housed at the Reception and Medical Center north of Gainesville and west of Jacksonville, Fla.
According to the Florida Department of Corrections, his release date will be April 20, 2021.
After being released from Michigan custody, he was transferred to the U.S. Marshals to be transported to Florida on a case that involved a car theft ring and racketeering.
