What You Need to Know When Boarding Your Pet

You're excited for your holiday season travel plans, but what if you can't take your pet with you, or leave them with a friend? Kristina Guerrero is talking with Tailwinds Pet Resort's Holly Utzinger to get two dos and one major don't when choosing a boarding facility.

1.  Avoid Designated Tour Times

If they have a structured, one hour time slot for tours, you should be concerned. You don't want to feel like they're hiding something. While you're there be sure to check out where your dogs will be enclosed.

2.  Make Sure Monitored 24/7

Make sure they have temperature controlled mechanisms, a burglar alarm, and of course fire and sprinkler mechanisms.

3.  Don't Get Nickel and Dimed

Some places will charge you for extra play time and other things that should come included. Always go all-inclusive and read the fine print.
