Wayne Farms, LLC recalls frozen chicken after customer finds metal pieces in product

Wayne Farms, LLC is recalling its fully cooked, frozen chicken products that may be contaminated with metal pieces, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced Thursday. 

Employees discovered the contamination on Sept. 4, following a consumer complaint received on July 27.

The ready-to-eat frozen products were produced on different dates from July 4 through July 17, 2018.  

The product ID number is "P-20214" and have been sold to restaurants and locations nationwide. 

No confirmed reports of injury or illness as a result of the contamination has been made. 

If you have the frozen chicken in your freezer, throw it out immediately.
