Livonia police are asking for the public's help to identify the man caught on surveillance video snatching a bike from a rack outside of a middle school.
The incident reportedly took place outside of Emerson Middle School on W. Chicago on October 23 around 1:35 p.m.
Police posted the video on its Facebook page as an effort to gather more information.
In the video, it appears the man was carrying a long umbrella and wearing a dark rain coat and hat at the time of the alleged theft.
