A teacher at Cousino High School is on administrative leave after reportedly making a threat.

Warren Consolidated Schools Superintendent Robert Livernois said a student reported that a teacher made a comment to a substitute teacher in front of a class of students that he had a firearm available in the classroom if the students misbehaved.

The school resource officer assessed the situation and found no weapon present or any real threat to the school, Livernois said.

The teacher has been placed on administrative leave while the district investigates.
