The campaign trail is beginning to heat up with just over a week until the Midterm Elections, and some big names are targeting Michigan.

Vice President Mike Pence will make another stop in the Great Lakes State on Monday to campaign for Republican candidates. He'll be in Waterford Township on Monday afternoon at the Oakland County International Airport to rally for Gubernatorial Candidate Bill Schuette, Senate Candidate John James, 11th Congressional District Candidate Lena Epstein and 8th Congressional District Candidate Mike Bishop.

Then, he'll fly to Grand Rapids with both Schuette and James for a rally on Monday night.

This comes just days after former President Barack Obama was in Detroit campaigning for Gretchen Whitmer, Debbie Stabenow, Elissa Slotkin and Haley Stevens, among others.

A Detroit Free Press/EPIC MRA poll last week showed that the midterm election is tightening up in Michigan. According to the poll, Whitmer has 46 percent of the vote compared to Schuette's 41 percent. Schuette has gained a few points since the last poll in September.

In the Senate race, Stabenow is polling at 49 percent while James is at 42 percent. Stabenow's support has fallen from 56 percent in September while James' has risen from 33 percent.
