Visiting restrictions are now in place for all Beaumont hospitals due to high volumes of flu cases.
Per Beaumont, children younger than 13 can only visit in extraordinary situations, like severe illness of a parent or sibling, or end-of-life situations.
Visitors should avoid visiting if they have cold or flu symptoms, such as:
- Fever
- Sore throat
- Cough
- Runny/stuffy nose
- Muscle aches
- Chills
- Fatigue
- A weak immune system
Beaumont says all hospitals are currently experiencing high volumes of patients with respiratory viral illnesses.
