The University of Michigan has canceled classes Wednesday, according to officials.

The Ann Arbor campus has issued an emergency reduction in operations beginning midnight Wednesday and ending 7 a.m. Friday, Feb 1. This includes the cancellation of all classroom and laboratory instruction.

The reduction does not apply to Health System staff, officials say.

University officials say they will continue monitoring weather conditions and make the necessary adjustments.

With reduced operations, only previously identified critical employees are expected to make every reasonable effort to report to work if operations are being maintained in the employee’s unit, or unless notified otherwise by their supervisor.
