As we get ready for the holiday travel season, an alarming new report questions airport security.
According to ABC News, the report reveals that TSA failed most tests at U.S. airports during an undercover operation by the Department of Homeland Security.
TSA screeners, their equipment and procedures failed, according to the report.
When pressed to get the failure rate, ABC News was told by a source that 80 percent failure was "in the ballpark."
Members of Congress that were briefed on the report call the results disturbing.
It's unclear if our airport in Detroit was part of this testing.
The Department of Homeland Security will not release any other details, but said they made eight recommendations to TSA for checkpoint security improvements.
The head of TSA told ABC News that they will take those recommendations seriously.
