Bloomfield Township police say an Uber driver has been arrested after stabbing a passenger multiple times over the weekend.

We're told the 23-year-old suspect stabbed the victim five times in his chest, back and face. The suspect is identified as Jacomb Matthew Allemon.

According to police, the victim and his wife ordered an Uber home from a holiday party. Allemon accepted their request, and when he showed up, the victim tapped on his window to let him know they were getting into the car.

Police say Allemon felt his vehicle was being disrespected, and he drove about a mile before pulling into the parking lot of a shopping center at Maple and Cranbrook. He ordered them out of the car, but the victim asked if they could wait for another Uber due to the snowstorm.

That's when they started fighting and Allemon allegedly stabbed the 49-year-old Beverly Hills man. He was able to disarm Allemon and hold him until police arrived. The victim was taken to the hospital, treated and released the next day.

Allemon was charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm and arraigned on Sunday. He was given a $250,000 bond.
