The U.S. Postal Service is suspending deliveries Wednesday and Thursday in parts of states experiencing dangerously cold conditions, including Michigan.

Deliveries were suspended out of concern for the safety of USPS employees.

In Michigan, services are suspended for zip codes 480-499.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this weather related service disruption has caused,” said District Manager Karlett Gilbert, Detroit District in a release. “The safety and well-being of our employees is of paramount concern to the Postal Service.”
