U of M student reportedly sexually assaulted south of central campus

The University of Michigan Division of Public Safety & Security is telling students to be on alert after a reported sexual assault of a student early Sunday morning.

According to the U-M DPSS, Ann Arbor police say the student was walking in the 100 block of East University near Prospect St., which is south of Central Campus around 2:30 a.m. when it happened.

Police say the student was approached by an unknown male behind her when she was assaulted. She was able to get away and call for help.
