An old tree snapped in the middle of the night, landing feet from a neighbor's home on Detroit's northwest side.
The tree is on Plainview Avenue.
It fell and struck a neighbor's car and truck.
Around 1 a.m. Thursday, Shaneeka Strickland says she and her family were sleeping when the heard a boom.
They rushed to see what happened and noticed that dead tree had snapped and fell.
She says she’s lived in this house her whole life and was concerned about the old trees in the neighborhood.
Strickland tried calling the fire department to help get the tree out of the street, but that tree is still there. She says it's a busy street and she’s concerned someone could get hurt.
