The trial of a man charged with killing two teenagers in Springport last summer is scheduled to begin Monday in Jackson County Court.
Tracy Lawrence is charged with two counts of second degree murder and a felony firearms charge of Matthew McMillen and Hunter Lentz.
Police say Lawrence shot and killed the two teens outside a house on Town Road last June. Initially police investigated the incident as a possible break-in as the teens were trespassing. But prosecutors say they were not armed and there's no evidence they tried to break in.
Lawrence faces up to life in prison if convicted in their deaths. We'll be tracking this story for you.
