(WXYZ) — Michigan State Police troopers are on the scene after a semi-truck was wedged underneath a bridge on eastbound I-94 near Linwood.
Police say the truck was on the freeway approaching Linwood Avenue when the driver misjudged the height of his trailer.
The semi ended up wedging underneath the 13'11" bridge. Police say the trailer is loaded down and will most likely cause traffic for a few hours.
Traffic is getting by on the left lane/shoulder only, so police advise an alternate route.
According to MDOT, it's not known if the overpass was damaged, but a bridge inspector is on the way to check the structure once the semi is pulled out.
