The Macomb County Sheriff's Office has charged three juveniles who are accused of throwing rocks at more than a dozen cars.
Police received a complaint last November from a man whose windshield suddenly shattered on 21 Mile Road in Macomb Township. The shattering windshield caused glass to fly inside the vehicle and cut a passenger's hands.
A Shelby Township patrol vehicle was also hit by rocks that were thrown by someone sitting in the back seat of another car.
The suspects were eventually arrested by police in a wooded area.
Detectives say the juveniles are responsible for at least 14 similar crimes. This resulted in damages of more than $20,000.
