Less than two years after opening, Detroit-native Jack White's Third Man Records will open its pressing plant in Detroit on Feb. 25.
Located in the heart of the Cass Corridor, the free event will feature live music, limited edition vinyl and tours.
Opening at 10 a.m., tours will be available from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., but according to Third Man, they are sold out. Live music begins at 2:30 p.m. featuring The Mummies, The Oblivians and Craig Brown Band.
Fans will be able to watch records being pressed from the viewing platform within the Cass Corridor shop, and Third Man has freshly-pressed Detroit-centric LPs and 7"s that will be pressed in limited numbers, colors and packaging.
There will also be limited edition copies of Third Man Book's Total Chaos: The story of the Stooges/As Told by Iggy Pop and exclusive merchandise.
