Michigan is expected to be a battleground state in the 2020 Presidential Election, and at the end of July, CNN hosted two Democratic Presidential Debates at the historic Fox Theatre in downtown Detroit.

Google Trends took a look at the Democratic candidates that Michiganders were searching for.

Former Vice President Joe Biden was the most-searched candidate, with nearly 40 counties, or almost half of the state, searching Biden.

Other candidates who appear on the map include Sens. Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Kirsten Gillibrand, Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren, Andrew Yang, Beto O'Rourke, Pete Buttigieg.

Only one county had Warren as the top-searched candidate, Huron County at the tip of the thumb.

In the Upper Peninsula, which is predominantly Republican, several candidates appear as the top-searched. Seven counties in the U.P. searched most for Sanders, three for Biden, two for Gillibrand, and one each for Klobuchar, Yang and Harris.
