It tells time, searches the internet and washes your clothes – Well, maybe not that last one, but smartwatch sales have almost doubled from 2016 to 2017. What started out as fitness trackers are now the ultimate smartphone accessory. Jared Cotter has the top three intelligent timepieces to set your life by.
1. Apple Watch Series 2
The new Apple Watch now has built in GPS, water resistance to 50 meters and is a bit more durable. It has the Apple slickness we've come to expect and packs a brighter display so you can carry your all day assistant on your wrist. It sells for around $370 and is available online and in stores now.
2. Samsung Gear S3
Built for city slickers and explorers alike, the Gear S3 comes out of the box looking good for any adventure. The built in speaker also lets you take or make calls without touching your phone. The Gear S3 starts at around $350.
3. LG Watch Sport
LG breaks out of the pack with the first watch to run Android Wear 2.0. What does that mean? The upgrade adds tons of new features like using Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and cellular without your smartphone. You can navigate the menus with the bezel and stream music using cellular LTE. This smartwatch starts at around $250.
