The Original Hot Dog Factory will open its first Michigan location this December.
The restaurant is a small chain based in Atlanta. It was founded by Detroit native and University of Michigan graduate Dennis McKinley.
It has been around since 2010 and was turned into a franchise three years ago.
McKinley said he wanted everyone to get a taste of the Detroit Coney Dog, but also offers other options.
The new location will open in either Midtown Detroit or Southfield.
