Behind his drum kit, 13-year-old Noah Koslen, of Troy, tears it up.
He's got broken cymbals and drum heads to prove. Music seems to come natural to him.
And his favorite band – the Foo Fighters.
So when viral videos spread of kids invited on stage during a Foo Fighters concert, this one invited to rock out to Metallica. He had a thought, a simple sign and a big dream. Dave Grohl saw him in the crowd and called him up.
“It’s just… so exciting. I was just thinking, Dave is talking to me," Koslen said.
Koslen has been honing his skills at "School of Rock" in Rochester. He was recently cast for a show where he'll play a Nirvana song. The band Foo Fighters' front man, Grohl, got his start as Nirvana's drummer.
