It’s the latest retailer taking a move from the Amazon playbook.
Target announced it will soon start testing its Target Restock Service. From laundry detergent to toilet paper, with a couple of clicks, customers may soon be able to get those individual, everyday items delivered together in just one business day.
The company says in a news release that when the service launches in the summer, Target credit card holders will be able to go online and fill a virtual box with desired items. Once the order is complete, the company says the box will be shipped for a low, flat fee from nearby stores.
Target says the service will only be available for Minneapolis residents in the initial testing phase.

But this concept of essential item delivery is not foreign. Amazon already has a similar service called Prime Pantry.
There's also a battle going on in the free shipping arena.
Amazon recently lowered its free shipping minimum to $25 to remain competitive with Walmart's free shipping on items $35 and up.
