Study ranks best & worst states to be be a police officer

A new study from WalletHub ranked the best and worst states for police officers, according to a number of different factors.

The categories included starting salary, median income, salary growth potential, police deaths per 1,000 officers, violent crime rate and housing affordability.

Based on those categories, Michigan was ranked the 24th best state overall for police officers.

North Dakota took the top spot, Louisiana was ranked last.
