Study names Ann Arbor the most educated city in US, East Lansing 14th

Ann Arbor, the home of the University of Michigan, has been named the most educated city in the United States, according to a new study from WalletHub.

For the study, WalletHub compared the 150 largest US metropolitan statistical areas across nine different metrics.

According to the study, Ann Arbor has the highest share of people with bachelor's degrees aged 25 and older, with 52.7 percent of the people.

Other key statistics taken into account included quality of public school system, racial and gender education gaps, people with graduate degrees and more.

East Lansing/Lansing area was named the 14th most educated city in the United States, Grand Rapids/Wyoming was ranked 73rd while Detroit and the metro Detroit area was named the 78th most educated city. Flint was ranked 123rd.
