A nine-year-old Sterling Heights boy is claiming a person dressed as a clown attacked him outside of his home on Normandy in Sterling Estates.
Justin Buechler tells us he was climbing a tree, and when he got down the "clown" was standing there with a knife.
He claims the person never said anything, cut him, and then ran away.
Police are confirming an attack took place around 6:40pm, but aren't saying a clown was behind it.
Detectives were on scene, interviewing the family for a while.
Officers also looked for any sign of the person.
His mother Melinda Buechler claims there was another person dressed as clown who approached a girl, offering her a drink, but she ran away.
When asked if he was making this up, the little boy told 7 Action News, "No."
His mother is also standing by her son.
A second incident occurred just before 8:20 p.m., about 3 miles away in the area of 17 Mile and Ryan.
Police say two women were walking in the area, when they were approached by three people in "scary clown masks and carrying a baseball bat. Officers say the clowns yelled at the woman and then hit a fence with the bat, before running away.
Police are taking any sightings very seriously, saying they don't know if it's harmless fun or something more sinister.
